What does the word OPPORTUNITY mean to YOU?
Good morning world,
It's another beautiful day in Maryland but more important than the weather is the ability to get it right, one more time. For many years, people have shown through hard work and perseverance that success comes to those who TAKE IT. What I mean by that is you can't sit on your laurels waiting for success to break down your door and hand you the lifestyle you've dreamed of. You MUST CREATE THE LIFE YOU DESIRE.
In today's society, we are conditioned to join the workforce and for those of us who have been involved as an employee at some point or another, you've felt that tug in your heart to do what your heart desires and that may be completely different than what your current profession is.
Well, don't worry we all experience that feeling at some point in our lives. For some, it's more often than not and for others it can be on occasion that it happens. I have GREAT NEWS, starting today you can begin to lay the foundation for your dream life and begin LIVING IT.

I just had one of the most invigorating weekends I've had in months. I attended a company sponsored Soul Purpose event with Nakia Evans in Baltimore on Saturday and to all of our surprise, the CEO, Nadine A. Thompson showed up and OUT. Whenever she graces us with her presence a new found commitment comes over me. It was truly great to reconfirm my commitment to the company and to my business.
Soul Purpose has helped me to create my own personal success story. As a single parent, when I started this business, I was renting a home in a poor section of Baltimore City. What Success Looks Like
When I look in the mirror, success is what I see. It is a combination of the many failures or roadblocks, as I like to call them that have brought me this far. Building lasting relationships in the direct sales industry take both time and understanding. When you look in the mirror, do you see success?

The internet has forever changed the way the world conducts business. People are now able to hide in their homes/offices and simply send email advertisements to entise their audience to purchase. There is no more "personal contact" with the customer. Whatever happened to the days of door to door sales? I know, the invention of the automobile and megamalls.

Mindset of a Winning Entrepreneur
Hello World,
I hope this post finds you in uplifting spirits and the best of health. As I was sitting in my dayroom, imagining the possibilities that life has to offer, I began wondering where I gained the mindset of an entrepreneur from and it started when I was just 7 years old. I didn't know then what it all meant but I've been able to piece the puzzle together over the years. See, when I was a little girl growing up in a low-income family, I dreamed to have things my mom simply couldn't provide for me so I MADE A WAY. I learned to braid hair at just 7 years old and realized then that it was a means to an end. I would make money by braiding the kids' hair in the neighborhood.
One thing that sticks out most to me is the "yard sale bike" I had to have. I spotted a bicycle one day and wanted it so bad. I asked the owner of the bike if I could purchase it and she told me the price, $7. Well, I hadn't $7 in my pocket to purchase but kindly asked her to hold it for my return with her money.
She later asked me, where are you going to get $7 from and I simply stated, "I'm going to make it doing hair." A little over 5 hours later, I returned to purchase my bicycle and that was one of my first memories of creating my very own OPPORTUNITY.
It's never too late to dream and to take actionable steps to creating the life you desire. Entrepreneurship has always been in my blood and I'm finally in a profession where I can utilize my desire to create unprecedented success for me and my family.

New Company vs Established MLM Company
Many people wonder if joining an established company is more advantagous than joining a budding or new MLM. Well, I'd like to share a few nuggets that I've learned since joining a "budding/new" company.
In 2008, when I joined Soul Purpose, it hadn't been heard of. While our esteemed Owner and CEO, Nadine Thompson has many years of both product development and direct sales experience, this was now her company and she would be responsible for the culture that is created here. In the last company that I was with, Nadine created wonderful products but the company was already established and it seemed that I was getting no where. Lots of people in my "target market" had already been exposed to the company name.
On the flip side, being a part of Soul Purpose, when we launched, due to the fact that I joined as a Visionary Circle member, I was immediately propelled to the position of Managing Associate in just 30 days after our product launch. For me, that was a significant change in circumstance. I began building a team before the compensation plan was even revealed. Since that time, I've promoted to the illustrious title of Diamond Executive and have been able to see the fruits of my labor and that of those on my team who are also budding leaders.
Our goal is to reach the very top of the compensation plan but we can't do it alone.
My advice is to join Soul Purpose. While it is still a young company, the potential for growth in the market is phenomenal. Not since Madame CJ Walker has there been another African-American owned company to create the type of financial independence that Lady Nadine A. Thompson will create. I invite you to join my team.
